I intend to COMMENT and CHALLENGE the typical music video.
Having seen a more in depth view of the music industry and its primarily capitalist priotities, I also want to QUESTION the role of the MUSIC INDUSTRY.
I have been massively influenced by the words (less lyrics) used as introduction before the main melody of THE RADIO DEPT's 'Heaven on Fire'. (covers 00.00-00.19)
This directly comments on the role of the music industry and attempts to condemn it. However, I have decided against using this track in order to promote this band, as I want something with more interesting sounds/tones and maybe some classical instruments for a more confusing and therefore gripping track. I feel this is a gritty and relevant topic which I could really get my teeth into for creating my own media products.
